The Titanic began her maiden voyage on April 10th, 1912.
She left from Southampton at 6:00 with a load of passengers. -
After making her stops at Southampton, Cherbourg, France, and Queenstown, Ireland, the Titanic leaves the safety of the harbor and sails into the open ocean. She carried 2,229 passengers on her.

It is 9:20, and Captain E. J. Smith has retired to his room. At 9:40, the last 7 warnings about icebergs are delivered and ignored.

It's 11:40 pm and Frederick Fleet notices an iceberg in the distance. The crew tries to turn the Titanic from a direct hit, but sadly, the iceberg hit the side of the hull. Only a few notice the impact.

The Titanic's distress signals were picked up by the Carpathia. The rescued passengers then went to New York with sad stories to tell. Only 799 passengers lived.

After hearing that the Titanic will only float for 2 more hours, the captain and crew arouse the passengers and put them on the lifeboats. It is 12:45 am and the boat is at a tilt when the first lifeboat is launched.

The captain and crew release the lifeboats only half full. It is 2:05 when the last lifeboat is lowered into the ocean. Half the passengers are still on the boat and the Titanic is almost in a vertical position.

As the last plead of help is sent from the Titanic, the grand ship splits in half with over half of the passengers still trapped inside in the lower decks.

It is 2:20 AM, and the Titanic sinks under the ocean. Most of the passengers are inside, but some swam away. The majority died of hypothermia and/ or drowned. Few survived.

The Titanic has rested at the bottom of the Atlantic for a long time, and people have not forgotten her story.In 1985, divers found the famous ship wreck. Divers have searched for artifacts and only returned with a small portion to keep the resting ground of the dead passengers sacred.

Recent studies have shown that bacteria on the bottom of the ocean is going to destroy the Titanic till the point there is nothing left. The most well recognized ship in history will be gone by 2030.
