    Treaty of Paris 1763
    Britian and France battled over land. Then britian claimed North American land east of the Mississippi River. Along with all that land they also got Quebec and Ohio Valley.

    The Proclamation 1763
    The Proclamatipn of 1763 ws set in place when the war between the French and Indian war had ended. The British played the Indians in this war.     The sugar Act put taxes on sugar, molasses, and other products. This act was put in place so people couldn't smuggle goods in to the country. Because of this corruption they mostly evaded the taxes and got rid of taxes.

  • The Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act
    The Stamp Act was passed in 1765, but the Parliament repealed the Stamp Act on March 18, 1766. This act caused the colonies to get upset and that started a Revolution: taxation without representation. The money of the Stamp Act was used the help pay the costs for protecting the fontier in the Applachian Mountains.

    The Quartering Act made room by locating the conditions of the British soldiers and aboard the American colonies.     In March, tension was brewing into voilence in Boston that day. The Boston Massacre was the killing of five colonists that didn't like British soldiers.     This act was not in place for raising money it was to place no new taxes on products. It was trying to help East India Company that were financially struggling with 18 million pounds of unsold tea.
    This tea was shipped to the colonies with a bargain price.

    The colonists dressed up and poured tea over board on the ship it was carried by. The reason they poured it over board because there was tax on tea and if they could have it then noboy could. When this happenes the war for independence was just happening.

    The First Continental Congress delegates were people elected by the people of the colony, colonial legislaters, and corresponding of the respective colonies. These delegates were there to try and show their combined authority to Great Britian, but Great Britian was not pleased.

    Parliament passed a series of laws to punish the Massachusttes colony to serve as a warning to other colonies quickly offered Massachusetts their support. They sent money snd food to Boston.   • The Battles of Lexington and Concord

    The Battles of Lexington and Concord
    Bririan's General Thomas Gage lead the British army in the early morning and would send troops to the destination of Lexington. When they get to Lexington they would plan to capture Colonial leaders Sam Adams and John Hancock. Then relocated to Concord for gunpodwer, but eventually the Americans spread the word about his plan. To inform the countryside, Boston's North Church hung two laterns to tell that the British were attacking.

    During this congress the Declaration of Independence was created. Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Indepence to protect their rights, and John Hancock was the first to sign it.     The British defeated the Americans at the Battle of Bunker Hill in Massachusetts. Even though the Americans lost the battle , their cofidence level went up a lot. Although the battle was named Battle of Bunker Hill most of the fighting took place on Breed's Hill.

    Thomas Paine was a journalist while he was in Philadelphia, then wrote Common Sense. Common Sense was mainly based on a strong defense Of American Independence from England.     This battle was a great victory for Britian and a major loss for the Americans. The British got a great start to this battle from a campaine from New York City.     First General George Washington's army crossed the Delaware River close to Trenton, New Jersey. Washington and his army were on their way marching to the city.     Burgyone's army was marching towards Albany, New York when they run into the Continental Army which was lead by Horatio Gates. Then a series a battles went on between the brish and American troops. The American army was led by Benedict Arnold and forces the British Army to retreat where they were. The Battles of Saratoga convinced european nations that the Americans might win the war and Benedict is angry becausehe didn't recognition, betrays his army.

    There was no war or battles at Valley Forge, but there was coldness and suffering. All Washingtpn's men were ready to quit, they were all dying and they thought that their agreement would be up soon so why not go home because they didn't want to die.
