Davis studies at School of American Ballet, on full scholarship, training with George Balanchine, Alexandra Danilova, Antonina Tumkosvky, Felix Doubrovska, Andre Eglevsky, Stanley Williams, and Suzanne Farrell, among others. She meets John Clifford, then a New York City Ballet principal and choreographer.
