Odysseus and his crew land upon the Cyclope's island. While they are there, they face challenges and hardships that lead to bloody deaths and a curse upon Odysseus that will force him to take a longer journey home. -
Circe
Odysseus and his men meat the goddess Circe. It is said that she is a canibal. The men are turned into pigs because Circe is not in favor of them. -
Land of the Dead
Odysseus and his men ask for Circe's advice and are taken to the underworld where they meet Teresias. She tells Odysseus's future saying that it will take him 7 more years to return home. She also says that when he does return home, there will be men trying to court his wife. -
Sirens, Sylla, and Charybdis
Odysseus is destined to sacrafice some of his men when he faces creatures called Sirens. Syclla is another monster he faces. -
Helios
Odysseus and his men land on the island of the sun god.There, the rest of Odysseus's men are killed because they decided to kill some of Helio's cattle for food. -
Calypso
Odysseus is depressed because he is now all alone. However, he lands on the goddess Calypso's island and stays there for seven years. -
King Alcinas
Hermes convinces Calypso to let Odysseus go. Odysseus is sent off in a row boat. He enters King Alcina's territory and is invited in for food and drink. There, he tells of his journey. -
