    Believing Is Just The Beginning
    Walt Disney unveils his plans to build a magical theme park in Central Florida. Walt's plan was originally known as the "Florida Project." Walt purchased 107 acres of land which would go on to be build the ever famous and popluar Walt Disney World Park in Orlando, Florida. After its completion, the park featured 23 attractions.   • Magic Kingdom Opens

    Magic Kingdom Opens
    Magic Kingdom Park opens with an elaborate celebration that features a parade of Disney characters. The opening-day attractions included: The Haunted Mansion, mad Tea Cups, and Mr. Toads's Wild Ride, among others. Magic Kingdom is the first of four parks to open. The other three parks that opened later on are Epcot (formerly EPOCOT Center), Disney's Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney-MGM Stuidios), and Disney's Animal Kingdom.     Main Street Electric Parade Debuts
    The Maind Street Electric Parade debuts. It is the first nighttime Disney parade to wow guests by bringing Disney fairytales to life through the use of glittering lights. 600,000 lights are used during the parade each night.     "Wishes" Debuts By Lighting Up the Disney Park's Sky
    "Wishes: A Magical Gathering of Disney Dream," or just "Wishes" debuts. "Wishes" is Disney's nighttime fireworks show. The show is hosted by Jimmney Cricket and the Blue Fairy. Tinkerbell also makes an appearance over the tallest spire on Cinderella's Castle.   • MagicBands Are Magically Efficent

    MagicBands Are Magically Efficent
    MagicBands debut in the Disney Parks. MagicBands are wearable waterproof, computing bracelets that allows users to make payments, save photos, access their hotel rooms, access FastPasses, and serve as location trackers. MagicBands allows guests to travel all over the Disney Parks without purses, wallets, or handbags. MagicBands come in standard colors like blue, green, orange, pink, and gray.
