Martin Luther King Jr. was born. He was 1 of 3 children and the first son. Martin the the child on the far left.

Martin graduates early from high school at the age of 15. He then goes to Morehouse College.

After graduating from Morehouse College, Martin goes to Crozer Theological Seminary in Chester, PA. There, he studies the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

After finishing Crozer Theological Seminary in 1951, he enters Boston University to get his doctorate degree in theology. In Boston, he meets Coretta Scott. They marry June 18, 1953.

Martin takes a job as a pastor in Montgomery, AL at Dexter Avenue Baptist Church. In 1955, Rosa Parks doesn't give up her seat on a bus. This starts the Montgomery bus boycott, and Martin becomes the leader of the boycott.
