The birth of David Copperfield
David Copperfield was born at Blunderstone, in the east of England on a Friday, at twelve o'clock at night, in the early 1820s. -
David is sent away to school
While on vacation at Peggotty's brother Daniel's house, David's mother marries Mr Edward Murdstone, a cold hearted man who becomes David's stepfather. While his stepfather is giving him a beating, David bites him and because of it he is sent to a boarding school. -
David's mother dies
On his 10th birtday his mother dies, so his stepfather who want's to get rid of him, sends him to work in the factotry. After some time, he deciedes to escape and find his father's aunt, Miss Betsey Trotwood. -
David begins new life with his aunt
When he finds her, she adopts and sends him to a new, much better than the last, boarding school. -
David meets his old friends again
After graduating boarding school, David travells to London to deciede what he will do with his life next. There, he meets his old friend, Steerforth. After a week had passed, David goes to Yarmouth to visit Peggotty. -
David's life at Wickfield's
Because the boarding school is far away from his aunt's home, David temporary stays at Mr Wickfield house, where he meets his daughter Agnes and assistant Uriah Heep. -
David falls in love
He meets Dora and instantly falls in love with her. -
David get's married
David's aunt loses all of her money due to bad investments. Although Copperfield isn't financially stable anymore, he gets married to Dora. -
The fall of Uriah Heep and death of Dora
Mr Micawber, David's good friend and Uriah Heep's new assistant one night invites David, his aunt and many others who Heep stole the money from. Uriah is forced to give all the money that he stole back to the ones who it belongs to, so Miss Betsey becomes rich once again. Because of Dora's disease, she dies, leaving David deppressed and alone. -
David loses a friend
David travelles to Yarmouth where a big storm is destroryng everything that comes it's way. Because a lot of the boats were sinking, his good childhood friend Ham jumped into the ocean to save sailors that needed help, but he dies in the process. -
The beginning of a new, happy life
Left once again alone in this world, David goes to Europe to find his purpose in life. There, he realises he loves Agnes, so he comes back to Dover where he confesses his love to her and they get married and live a happy and peaceful life.
