    It's important because without every =body would be wearing glasses

    Copernicus was a Polish astronomer. In 1543 found a new heliocentric system of the universe. The system revolved on a complex system of epicycles.He convinced everyone that Earth was motionless.
    This is important because if he would have not figured maybe even today we might would still think that the Earth was spinning.
