    The Industrial Revolution began in the 1700's, but really it began in 1790's in Great Britain. It transformed manufacturing. The Industrial Revolution changed the nation's economy, social life, culture, and politics. There was also developments of machines that was once done by hand.

    IN 173, Samuel Slater built the first water-powered textilemill. He built it at pawtucket, Rhode Island. Samuel moved to the U.S to build it because britain put up a law banning the exports of machinery and the emigration of workers who was really good at technology.

The bridge’s construction took 14 years, involved 600 workers and cost $15 million (more than $320 million in today’s dollars).
