    Shortly after Hitler came to power in Germany, he orderd all "non-Aryans" to be removed from government jobs
  • Nazis

    Nazis
    The Nazis had concentrated on silencing thheir political oppenents: communists, socialists, liberals, and anyone else who spoke out against the government. After they had eliminated those enemies, they turned against other groups suchas: jews, gypsies, freemasons, and Jehovah's witnesses. and any others they found to be unfit to join the "master race"
  • Nuremburg Laws

    Nuremburg Laws
    The Nuremburg Laws stripped Jews of their German citizenship, jobs, and property. THe Jews were also forced to wear a bright yellow Star of David on their clothes, so they could be easily identified.
  • Kristallnacht

    Kristallnacht
    This day became known as Kristallancht, or Night of Broken Glass. Nazi storm troopers attcked Jewish homes, businesses, and synagoguesacross Germany. Around 100 Jews were killed, and hundreds more were injured. Some 30,000 Jews were arrested and hundreds of synagogues were burned. Afterwards the Nazis blamed the Jews for the destruction.
  • St. Louis

    St. Louis
    The German ocean liner passed miami in 1939. Although 740 of the 943 passangers had U.1s. immigration papers, the Coast Guard followed the ship to prevent anyone from disembarking in America. The ship was forced to return to Europe. More than half of the passengers that were on the ship were later killed in the Holocaust.

    The Final Solution
    Jews, Gypsies, Freemasons, Jahovah's Witnesses, homosexuals, the mentaly deficient, the mentally ill, the phisically disabled, and the incurably ill. Many of the Jews were sent toconcentration camps, or labor camps.
  • Death Camps

    The first Chemelo , began operating in 1941, before the meeting at Wannsee. Each camp had several huge gas chambers in which as many as 12,000 peple could be killed a day. When they arrived at Aushwitz, the largest death camp, they had to pass several SS doctors. THey would seperate the ones that could work and the ones that were to weak would be killed.
  • The Final Stage

    The Final Stage
    Those destined to die were led into a room outside the gas chamber and were told to undress for a shower, they were even given soap. THen they were led into the chamber and posioned with cyanide gas. THen the ded bodies were burned. Others had died as a result of a horrible medical experiments carried out by camp doctors. Some were injucted with deadly dea=rms in order to study the effect. Many more were used test different methods of starilization.
