  • First Movie Camera EVER

    The frst patented film camera was designed in England by a frenchman named Louis Le Prince in 1888. He built and patented a 16 lens camera in 1887 at his workshope. The first 8 lenses are triggered by rapid succession by an electromagnetic shutter on the sensitive film; the film then moved forward letting the other 8 lenses on the film. After much trial and error, he was able to develop a one single lens camera in 1888.
  • First Movie Ever

    The question that stareted it all was, "When a horse trots, do all four hooves leave the ground simultaneously?" Asked by LeLand Stanford. Yet Muybridge’s stop motion film made it clear that they do. This movie was created to shoe specific examples of motion.

    Nine years later, in 1882, a F rench scientist named Étienne-Jules Marey invented the chronophotographic gun, which was capable of taking 12 frames a second, recording all the frames of the same picture, and this was the newet invention that started it all.

  • First Movie Studio built

    Thomas Edison built the first movie studio in the United States as he constructed the Black Maria, a tarpaper-covered structure near his laboratory in West Orange, New Jersey, and he asked circus, vaudeville, and dramatic actors to perform for the camera to create his first movie at a studio
  • First commercial movie screened

    The first commercial movie screening took place at the Grand Cafe in Paris. The film was created by Louis and Auguste Lumiere, they were two French brothers who developed a camera-projector called the Cinematographe. Which went a long ways of development.
  • Nickolodeons

    The first ever 'Nickolodeon' was located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and developed by the showman Harry Davis.The theater sat 96 seats and charged each person five cents each.The word Nickelodeons came from a combination of the admission cost and the Greek word for “theater” By 1907 many millon Americans had travelled to a Nickolodeon.

    Capitol Records Building on Vine Street, just north of Hollywood Boulevard, was built in 1956, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame was created in 1958 as a tribute to artists and other significant contributors to the entertainment industry.
  • Sonys Digital Cinematogrphy

    In the late 1980s, Sony made marketing the concept of "electronic cinematography," making their analog Sony HDVS professional video cameras. The effort they met with very little success. But, this led to one of the earliest digitally shot feature movies Julia and Julia which was produced in 1987.

  • Where the Oscors Take place

    The Dolby Theatre, opened in 2001 as the Kodak Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center mall, which is the home of the Oscars. And the mall is located where the historic Hollywood Hotel once stood. Which holds 3,332 people.
