    Vaughn started constructing pads aimed toward the butterfly for different styles of play like Reaction/Hybrid pads tend to be more flexible and have more breaks, which is great for goalies with a narrow butterfly. Blocking/Butterfly pads tends to be more rigid, and have fewer breaks, which is better for goalies with a wider butterfly.

    The Vaughn Velocity V4 have developed a flex pac design that allows you to be able to loosen them to your desire. Also, it has a wide cradle for rotatable pads in butterfly position, and a lot of padding inside for extra comfort. These are also my current pads.     15% lighter than previous models.
