    Common Schools' Movement

    The common schools would be supported by the property taxes paid by the locals so there would be no charge for the students. The school was only open to white kids. In the early 1830’s, a man named Horace Mann, proposed the “Great Equalizer,” which he convinced everyone that there should be common schools available all over because they are teaching the generation of the future. This started the public schools that are known today.

    No Child Left Behind was a law signed by George W. Bush and it was created to get rid and hopefully prevent the difference between minority and majority students. It was to make sure that all students were given the same opportunities as the next person.

    The coronavirus pandemic causes schools to close their doors and make student do schooling from home. Most schools were able to go full online due to abundance of technology now adays, but some of the less fortunate school were not able to do anything. This was the first-time teachers and students were ever forced to learn classroom material online and still try to operate as a normal class.
