    it was found in The Valley Of The Kings, Egypt, on the floor of a workman's hut. it is estimated to be the oldest sundial made by humans.

    the first water clock was made by I-Hsing, called,"Water Driven Spherical Birds-Eye-View Map of The Heavens", but it had some major defects. Chang Ssu Hsiin added some changes, and this new clock worked much more effectively.

    they were invented at the beginning of World War I, for soldiers to look at the time. before watches, pocket watches were common. it is said that Napoleon thought that it was too much work taking out his pocket watch every time he wanted to know the time.

    first introduced at the St. Louis World Fair by the Ansonia Clock Company, the Plato Clock was one of the main influences for the modern digital clock. it was a cylinder, with a glass case. instead of a minute and hour hand, it had pieces of paper with single digit numbers that flipped and showed the time.
