radical patriots dressed up as native Americans and tossed 342 crates of tea overboard. when king George III found out, he was so furious. he told them that the patriots would be punished. -
First and Second Continental Congress
there were supported protests in Massachusetts and made sure the colonies had the right to run affairs and were going to fight back against the British. -
battle of Concord and Lexington
the British were on their way to concord, Massachusetts to go "seize" the colonists guns and gunpowder. Luckily Paul Revere was there to warn everyone to evacuate so only little goods were damaged. -
Intolerable Acts
the Boston harbor was closed until the patriots paid for the tea -
Declaration of Independence
It was written by Thomas Jefferson and it also said that 13 colonies were no longer part of Britain.
