First case of covid in Spain
The first case of covid detected in Spain was on 31 January 2021. It was a German patient admitted in La Gomera who tested positive for coronavirus. His condition was "mild" and he was infected, presumably after contacting an infected person in Germany. -

Indoor face masks ceased to be mandatory on 20 April 2022, but were still mandatory in healthcare facilities, pharmacies and public transport. -

Face masks no longer compulsory on public transport
Face masks on public transport ceased to be mandatory on 7 February 2023. From then on, they will no longer be required on buses, trains, taxis, subways and aeroplanes.
