  • Justin Helzer

    Justin Helzer was born in 1970 and his brother is Glenn Helzer. These brothers worked together on The Children of Thunder. He also had a girlfriend named Dawn.

  • Glenn Taylor Helzer

    Glenn Helzer was a "prophet" and former cult leader who founded The Children of Thunder. He was born on July 26th, 1970 and he was born in Lansing, Michigan. He was a Mormon along with his two parents and brother. He was in the National Guard as a missionary in Brazil. After that he worked as a stock broker but went on disability

  • The Children of Thunder

    Quickly after Glenn got kicked out of the church he started claiming how he was a prophet. He made a set of rules in which his followers had to follow. He had plans to assassinate Mormon leaders so he could take over the LDS church. He called this group The Children of Thunder

  • Out of the LDS Chruch

    During this year Glenn was kicked out of the church due to his major drug issues.

  • Dawn Goodman (aka Justin's girlfriend)

    Dawn Goodman was born on November 30th 1959 and she was Justins girlfriend. She helped the brother with their killings. She was also sent to jail but got a less of a punishment then the brothers. This was the date that Justin met Dawn.

  • New House

    In this month the brothers and Goodman moved into a house in Concord.

  • Selina Bishop

    Selina Bishop was Glenns girlfriend but sadly Glenn killed her to make sure she wouldn't tell the cops about what they did.

  • Jennifer Villarin and James Gamble

    The Hezler brothers and Goodman went over to Selinas moms house to kill her since her mom saw them and thought she could turn them in. What they didn't know was that James Gamble a friend of Jennifer was also in the house so they killed him too.

  • The Stineman's

    On July 30th, 2000 the Hezler brothers and Goodman killed the elderly couple called the Stineman's. Glenn was a stockbroker and they where his clients. He forced them to write a check for $100,000 before killing them.

  • Arrest of the Group

    First the police arrested Justin and Goodman but Glenn was able to get back to his house. Shortly later Glenn got caught and arrested with his brother.

  • Justins Sentance

    Justin was sentenced to death on three counts of murder and life in prison for the other two people he killed.

  • Glenn's Sentence

    He was given five death sentences on this day

  • Dawns Sentence

    Dawn entered a plea deal with this judge which gave her less time in jail. She was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

  • Justins Death

    On this day Justin killed himself while in prison. From my research this was the the end for The Children of Thunder.
