Dec 5, 1955 The boycott begins, with 90% of black citizens not taking the bus. Dec 5, 1955 members and leaders of the movement meet back at the church and Martin Luther King Jr speaks his now iconic Speech Jan 20, 1956 Martin Luther King house is bombed Jun 5, 1956 the federal district court ruled in Browder v. Gayle that bus segregation was unconstitutional. Nov 1, 1956 The Supreme court affirmed the ruling, and banned bus segregation. Dec 20, 1956 Martin Luther King ended the boycott.
