This war was between the United States and the United Kingdom. It lasted two years and eight months. British restriction on trade and Americas desire to expand territory were the causes of war. -
Civil War
The Civil War took place in the United States. It was between the Union and the Confederacy. Slavery was the overall cause of war. The Louisiana Purchase was the result of the war. -
Reconstruction Era
The Reconstruction Era was after the American Civil War. It ended in 1877. The main purpose for this era was to bring southern states back into politics, giving rights to slaves, and creating new relationships. -
Spanish-American War
The Spanish-American War was between the United States and Spain. The result was U.S control of territories western Pacific and Latin America. Yellow Journalism was introduced and continued to rise.
