Rosa Parks
On this day Rosa Parks, took a seat in the front row of the “colored” section of a Montgomery, AL bus. Parks and three others were ordered to empty the seats so a white man could sit down w/o sitting next any African Americans. Parks refused and was arrested. This started the Montgomery Bus Boycott.
