  • San Bernardino Attack

    A husband and wife opened fire on the husband's colleagues at the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health in San Bernardino. They were inspired by ISIS, pledged to the Islamic State on Facebook before the attack.
  • Car Bombing in Aden

    Someone from the Islamic State created a large car bomb that killed the provincial governor and eight of his body guards in Aden. They wanted to signal the growing strength of Sunni extremists.
  • Philadelphia Officer Shot

    A gunman shot 11 times into a patrol cop car on the side of the road, and wounded the officer, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He did this in the name of ISIS
  • Red Sea Resort Shooting

    Two gunmen opened fire at the Red Sea resort in Egypt, injuring at least two tourists before security officials killed them. They carried an ISIS flag with them.
  • Teen Machete Attack

    A teen with a machete attacked his teacher in Marseille, France. He did it for God and the Islamic State.
  • Istanbul Bombing

    An ISIS follower from Syria suicide bombed a popular square in Istanbul’s largest city. He wants to help ISIS attack Turkey's oil infrastructure.
  • Jakarta Attacks

    An unknown number of ISIS assailants bombed very close to a busy shopping center in Jakarta, Indonesia. They wanted to scare citizens living in Southeast Asia.
  • Nursing Home Shooting

    Four gunmen killed 18 people in a nursing home that was founded by Mother Teresa. Yemen authorities are still not sure who did the attack.
  • Istanbul Suicide Bombing

    A suicide bombing on Istanbul's busiest thoroughfare killed three Israeli citizens and an Iranian. This was done by a Turkish man part of the Islamic State, and he meant to direct it at the Israelis.
  • Brussels Attacks

    Three bombers set off two explosions at the city’s main international airport and a third in a subway station at the heart of Brussels, Belgium. This was certainly a terrorist attack, but authorities are not sure which one.
  • My Short Description

    I believe these events have shaped the world around me because now there is so much worry and fear in most people's lives around the globe, that they could be in danger for a terrorist attack. You see and hear about these attacks on the news, and even in my everyday life I hear jokes and other things that have the subject of terrorism. It causes racial stereotypes and other biased opinions to emerge, especially on Middle Easterners. In conclusion, my life is largely affected by terrorism.
