Mar 29, 1944 Jews were prohibited from leaving their houses. Mar 31, 1944 Jews were forced to wear yellow stars. Apr 3, 1944 Ghettos were created in Sighet. Apr 9, 1944 All Jews began on their way to the first Concentration Camp. Apr 14, 1944 Madam Schwacter starts to "see fire". Jun 4, 1944 They arrive in Aucshwitz. Jun 10, 1944 Men and women were seperated. Jun 15, 1944 All of the men were assigned jobs while at the camp. Jun 22, 1944 Elie became A-7713. Jul 2, 1944 They arrive at Buna, their second Concentration Camp. Jul 7, 1944 Dr. Mangle removes Elie's gold tooth so the S.S. officer does not kill him. Jul 13, 1944 Idek beats up Elie's father. Jul 20, 1944 Sirens go off because of an air raid. Jul 23, 1944 Elie experience his first hanging. Nov 13, 1944 Elie starts to value what he has now that he has seen a person be hanged. Nov 21, 1944 Elie's father gives him a spoon and knife as inheritance incase he dies. Nov 24, 1944 Elie gets surgery on his foot. Nov 30, 1944 An evacuation to Buna is taking place. Dec 1, 1944 Patients who stayed in the hospital were soon released by the Russians after the evacuation. Dec 5, 1944 Elie sees that many other fathers and sons are starting to betray each toher. Dec 9, 1944 After running 42 miles, th emen arrive at Buchenwald. Dec 24, 1944 Elie's father passes away. Jan 19, 1945 Many of the men were starting to lose faith in God. Apr 10, 1945 Elie is released to go home.
