    -Died in December of 2008 in Cannes due to complications from luekaemia.
    -Married Twice. Survived by his sons Oliver and Thomas and daughter Eloise

    After completeing his apprenticeship with Christian Dior, he started his own brand. Made various frangrances at the beginning.

    -In 1957 Lapidus opened his own Haute Couture Salon

    In 1963, he joined the group called "the high fashion desginers' trade union. After joining he really came into his own and got going into his company.
