Vista was a more security based update to the windows program, mainly focusing on stopping malware and spyware from entering the computer. It was panned, however, for its poor performance on old computers.

Windows 7 was a program completely bent on simplifying Windows Vista. By despite being a newer version making it run better than vista had first tried to do. Whilst also getting rid of extra needless features like "Windows Movie Maker".

Windows 8 was a newer step in Windows' history, for better or worst. A main difference in the program was the removal of the start menu, and the replacement of it with the start screen, a different way of showing the programs we have. And the different more flat kind of GUI which gives off a modern look. Windows 8 was a target for major controversy.
