A PC programmer, Ray Tomlinson used the "@" symbol to route messages between firm computer systems. He is considered the creator of email and also expresses the same dislike for spam as the rest of us.

Coming in at 2lbs, measuring over 12 in and retailing for thousands of dollars, is Motorola's ' DynaTAC 8000X'. Chief Engineer John F Mitchell and his team which included Martin Cooper were the creators, with Mr. Cooper being the first to make a call from the device. This beast of a machine was unfortunately not commercially available until years later.

It's creator Kodak engineer Steve Sasson brought this idea to life in 1975. Then it was called something else, 'an electronic still camera' and it only shot in black/white. Something I found interesting is Mr. Sasson was barred from bringing up the prototype or showing anyone outside of Kodak how it works.

A creation from both Steve Jobs & Stephen ' Woz' Wozniak, quickly became a leader in personal computers. The first prototype of this model was made in December 1976 followed by its first sale on June 10, 1977.
