  • Wang 2200

    Wang 2200
    Made computer company successful. Primarily sold through the Value Added Resellers who added special software to solve specific customer problems. It used the built in CRT cassette tape for storage and ran the programming language BASIC. Wang's success ended when the PC era stared and it filed for bankruptcy in 1992.
  • Apple II

    Apple II
    This was sold with a main logic, keyboard case, manual game pads, switching power supply, and cassette tapes including the game breakout. Popular beyond the the hobbyist community which made up Apples users. They were connected to color television sets. Produced excellent color graphics for that time. Longest lived lines of personal computers. Apple donated thousands to schools. Millions were sold from 1977-1993.
  • PC Jr.

    PC Jr.
    It was considered as a home computer but was too expensive and was very limited in performance. Had chiclet keyboards and that was criticized for poor economics.
  • NeXT Cube

    NeXT Cube
    It was an all black cube and had important innovations. The average price for it was $6,500. Had 3 Motorola microprocessors and 8 MB of RAM. Multitasking operating system was very groundbreaking to its rapid development of software abilities. Acquired by Apple in 1996.
  • The Newton

    This defined handheld computers for the following decade because of the features and was abused for inaccuracy. It never performed as well as people thought and was discontinued in 1998.
  • VAIO

    VAIO
    Manufactured and sold in Japan but entered the global computer market. It featured 3D interface on the top of windows system to attract any users. Known for designs with communication and audio-video capabilities. Had innovative designs similar to the TV, radio tuners, web cameras and handwriting recognition. This was discontinued in 2014.
  • First Camera Phone

    SoftBank introduces this from Japan. Digital phone with integrated camera. Resolution of .11 megapixels and 256 color display. Photos shares wirelessly. Quickly expanded by releasing a flip phone version about a month later.

    This gaming system was very fun and our whole family could play together. You could also play with your friends.
  • Apple iPhone

    Apple iPhone
    This phone was a combination of music player, web browser and cell phone. Downloads functions in the form of apps from the online Apple store. It had a built in GPS, touchscreen, camera, calendar, texting, voice dictation and reports of the weather.
