    The DNA sequencer was invented in 1987, by Lloyd M. Smith, he introduced it to Applied Biosystems in 1987. This technology was able to go through 96 samples simultaneously a day. Helpful to solve crimes.

    The DVD Player was released in the United States in 1997 by Sony. DVD's were an alternative to VHS tapes; they were better because they were more sleek, compact, held more memory space, and had better quality. You also didn't have to rewind the disk to start it over, unlike a VHS tape.
