    The Global Positioning System became fully operational. Full Operational Capacity (FOC) was achieved with the placement and activation of the last of the 24 satellites. GPS is a great thing to have when you are driving.

    Tomislav Uzelac, created the AMP MP3 playback engine. The first MP3 player was invented just in time for the Napster revolution in the form of 1998's Winamp, widely regarded as the first MP3 player. I wouldn't make it a day without my ipod.

The service has over 500 million active users as of 2012, generating over 340 million tweets daily and handling over 1.6 billion search queries per day. Since its launch, Twitter has become one of the top 10 most visited websites on the Internet. Twitter is a great way to tell people what is going on with your life or just keep busy reading.
