In 1894, William Kellogg and his brother, John Kellogg, during a search for good, wholesome vegetarian food created Corn Flakes. The two brothers were in search of an easily digestible bread substitute which led them to boiling wheat to make dough, but it convert into flat flakes.

1905, Frank Epperson from San Francisco invented the popsicle purely by accident.

In the 1920s the cone business expanded.

They renamed the company W.K. Kellogg company in 1922.

Epperson finally applied for the patent in 1923 and began producing even more fruit flavors.

In 1930, Wakefield had to come up with a chocolate substitute. Broke up a bar of Nestle's semisweet chocolate into tiny chunks and mired them into the batter, making a chocolate chip.

Andrew Nestle agreed to give Wakefield a lifetime supply of the chocolate.

Cake pops were invented in 2008 by Angie Dudley. Have been turned into works of art and some bakers have created cake pops that resemble anything.
