Has been used from 6000 BCE to present time now, back then people cut stone out of mountains and used mud or mortar to stick them together and form walls or buildings. -
Cast Brick Construction
From 1000 BCE to present time, people gathered clay and heated it to make bricks which was much more efficient and easier to aquire than stone. -
Formed Concrete
From 100BC to present. People used concrete to make structures that were much stronger than bricks and stone, but can crack easily and is somewhat unstable. -
Steel Reinforced Concrete
From 100AD to present. Concrete was very unstable knowing that it can crack easily because it didn't have anything stronger to support it. That's why steel bars are used to make concrete more stable. -
Pre-Stressed Steel Reinforced Concrete
From 1960 to present. Like steel reinforced concrete, but is able to withstand far more stress making it relatively stronger and more efficient at the same time.
