The investors that bought when they were cheap, begin to sell GREED Jan 1, 1970 People feel that the market will continue to go up so they start investing all of their money for a later profit Jan 1, 1975 Once the mutual funds and individual stocks are bought up, the market becomes OVERBOUGHT Jan 1, 1980 Now the stock can only go down, negative reports arise Jan 1, 1985 The worse the news, the faster the market will decline Jan 1, 1990 The news makes investors start to sell, this expands rapidly Jan 1, 1995 Then there are more sellers than buyers and the market bottoms out :( Jan 1, 2000 THE END Jan 1, 2005 The "dates" are irrelevant.
