    A book that was written in 1968 by Laud Humphreys which is based of on his dissertation, which was entitled "Tearoom Trade: A Study of Homosexual Encounters in Public Places." The study is an analysis of male-male sexual behavior in public toilets.
  • The Belmont Report

    A report created by the National Commission for the Protection of Human Subjects of Biomedical and Behavioral Research. It expresses basic ethical principles and guidelines that is meant to assist in resolving ethical problems that surround the conduct of research with human subjects. The report uphold respect for person, beneficence and justice.
  • Code of Federal Regulations: Title 45

    Title 45 is the principal set of rules and regulations issued by federal agencies of the United States regarding public welfare. Protection of Human Subjects was added within the regulations as part 46.
  • HIPPA  Act

    HIPPA Act

    Health Insurance Portability and Accountability federal law that required the creation of national standards to protect sensitive patient health information from being disclosed without the patient’s consent or knowledge.
