    viewed on the 13 of March 2012In 1504 I was elected into parliment to represent Great Yarmouth and in 1510 to represent London. I served as one of the two undersherrifs of the city of London. I was a master of requests in 1514. Seven years later in 1521 I was knighted and made under-under-treasure ofthe exchequer. 1523 I was elected knight of the shire and eclected speaker of the house of commons.I served as High steward for the universty of Oxford and then Cambridge. 1524 I was the chancellor of the dutchy of lancaster.

I later adopted a young girl named Anne Cresacre, which later on married my son John. My eldest daughter Margaret was the academic star of the family especially in her fluency in Greek and Latin.
