    The members had boarded the ship and was able to empty 342 chest of tea all in a matter of three hours. For just one one the full containers had weighed a total of four hundred pounds. During this entire procedure approximately one hundred and seventeen people had participated in this act to retaliate against the British. The reason this event had occured was because the Colonist felt that the English were being unfair with how they taxed their products along with the tea.

    First Contenential Congress Meets
    The First Contnental Congress occures on the 5th of September in 1774. The meeting was held in Philiadelphia at the Carpenter's Hall where the members got together. When the representatives from each of the colonies had met up they had discussed a responce to the British "Intolerable Acts". After an agreement that they had come upon, the members had decided to reject any goods that had came from the British.

    Declaration of rights and Grievances are passed
    The Declaration of Rights and Grievances was said to be the second and third part of the Declaration of Independence. It was made by the First Congress and they had came up with this idea to make the lives of the Colonies in America more easier. This document had in fact been a responce to the British's Coercive Acts.

    The Revolutionary war began on April 19, 1775 when shots were fired at Lexington. The battle had occured when the British were traveling to Concord, but a group of colonist had been at Lexington wherer they had crossed. Once the Colonist had seen that the British were slowly approaching, they got ready for battle and bagan the war once the British had reached.

    Second Continetal Congress Meets
    The Second Continental Congress met at the State House in Philiadelphia on May 10, 1775. They met with one another ater the occurance of the Battles of Lexington and Concord. When they got together the group decided on important ideas such as fully departing from Great Britian. The group discussed things that they wanted to do or change, like printing money in paper form, compared to the coins that were used. This had been one of U.S.' biggest and important government meetings.
  • Declaration of Independence is Signed

    Declaration of Independence is Signed
    The handwritten version of the Declaration of Independence was signed by the Congress on July 4th of 1776. However, it has been said that the remainder of the signatures were completed by July 4th of 1796. By the 2nd of July the Congress had voted for Independence and was approved and finalized by the 4th. Although, it is still debated for the fact that the experts believe that john Hancock was the first to sign the document on August 18th and Thomas McKeen was the last on January 18, 1777.

    Revolutionary War Ends
    After the Treaty of Peace had been signed, the Revolutionary War was soon brought to an end. The congress had declared an official end on the war on April 11 of 1783, but was officially ended on January 14, 1784. With the treaty being written, it had outlined the fact that America was independent from Britian and also stated that property lines would be respected
  • Constitutional Congress Opens

    Constitutional Congress Opens
    This event occured at the State House in Philiadelphia, which just so happened to have been the same pace where the Declaration of In dependence was signed eleven years prior to that. When the convention was going on, all of the states showed up execpt for Rhode Island. The goal of the convention was to look over the Articles of confederation, set up post offices, and to levy the taxes.
  • Articles of Confederation is Signed

    Articles of Confederation is Signed
    It was stated in Article VII that atleast nine of the thirteen states would have to authorize it before it would be binded. During the begining of December 7, over a quick meeting five of the states had agreed to it. Later on during the year a few more of the states had reached a compromise before they too agreed to the document. On the 25th of September in 1789 twelve of the admendments were added to Bill of Rights, but only ten were ratified.
  • Final Draft of the Constitution was signed

    Final Draft of the Constitution was signed
    On September 17, 1787, the Constitution was finally made the official draft. Two days prior to the final signing, another convention had been called to cast its final vote and look over the draft once more.After it was made final, it was said to have rreplaced the Articles of Confederation, which had then formed an entirely new government of its own.
