The four Noble Truths are the truth of sufferring, the truth of the origin of suffering, the truth of the cessation of suffering, and the truth of the path to the cessation of suffering. The 2nd Buddhist Council occurred in 443 BCE. This council was held in Vesali. At this council, the first evidence of the Mahayana Buddhism are shown.
