    De Vaca Discovers Texas
    When De Vaca and Narvez were abandoned in Florida along with their crew, they built barges and sailed. They got into a gale which made them to land on Texas. They landed in Galveston Island. De Vaca was there 8 years and they met the Karankawas on the island. Narvez was a goner and their numbers were cut short. It was only 3 people now. They made their way to Mexico venturing into Texas, and met the Coahuiltecan and the Jumanos on the way.

    The purpose of the journey was to find the 7 Cities Of Cibola, because Fray Marcos confirmed it. Estaban was killed in Cibola since he was in front of everybody else. Fray Marcos reported wrong. It wasn't gold.

    Coronado searched for Cibola and Quiviera. His guide to Quiviera was The Turk or El Turko. The first guide, Esteban, was killed in Cibola. They discovered two canyons, the Grand Canyon and Palo Duro Canyon. Nothing was worth it in the journey. All the important things they did was to discover the canyons.
