    Colombus was looking for a water route to India and many riches the Spanish wanted such as gold. Columbus found the "New World", which is now currently North and South America. Here, Colombus found the Native Americans and was thinking to make them slaves, and did make them as slaves,as for they were very strongly built.

    Cortes's Voyage

    Cortes on his voyage from Spain came on a mind-set goal to find gold. During his voyage, Cortes conquered the Aztecs found in Mexico including their leader Montezuma. After he conquered the Aztecs, Cortes easily took back six million tons of gold to Spain which probably encouraged Spain to explore more.

    Pineda's Voyage

    Pineda was the first explorer known of drawing a map of the Gulf coast from Florida to Texas. This helped De Vaca and other explorers easily explore the coast.

    Coronado had been searching for Cibola and Quivera. Turk was his guide for Quivera, which he said was a city made of gold. Turk turned out to be wrong and Coronado put him to death.
