  • The first space shuttle into space STS-2

    First Shuttle Mission/Shuttle Systems Test Flight Space shuttle. It Launched: April 12, 1981. It Came back on April 14, 1981. The mission was 2 days, 6 hours, 20 minutes, and 53 seconds. The Space crew was two guys named John W. Young and Robert L. Crippen. The purpose was to Demonstrate safe re-launch and safe return of the orbiter and crew.
  • STS-35

    This space shuttle was sent up on December 2, 1990. It came back down on December 10, 1990. The mission was 8 days, 23 hours, 5 minutes, 8 seconds long. The crew was Vance D.Brand, Guy S. gardener, Jeffery A. Hoffman, John M. Lounge, Robert A. Parker, Sameul T. Durrance, and Ronald A Pairase. The purpose was round the clock observations to see different shapes in space.

    After 30 years and 135 missions, people and visitors to Florida's Space Coast crowd the new Max Brewer Bridge in Titusville to see the rocket's red fumes of NASA's Space Shuttle Program soar for the last time. It came back July,21, 2011. The purpose was to deliver a stockpile of supplies and parts to the space station.The crew was Chris Ferguson,Sandy Magnus, Doug Hurley, and Rex Walheim.
