    Aryabhata was born in India december 476 AD and died on december 550 AD. Aryabhata actually wrote 2 books Aryabhatiya and Surya Siddhanta. He was also first in line to be mathematician-astronomers from the classical age of Indian mathematics and astronomy.

    Copernicus

    Copernicus is a mathematician and astronomer. He actually made a model where he put the sun rather tan the earth in the center of space. He went to the university of Padua since 1501- 1503.

    Galileo

    Galileo was known as an Italian physicist, mathematician, astronomer and philosophe. He played a very important role in that time. galileo went to the university of Pisa since 1581- 1585. He also discoverd Callisto, Galilean moons, Europa, Ganymede, Io. Galileo has three children and thier names are Maria Celeste, Vincenzo Gamba and Livia Galilei.

    NASA stand for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. NASA does lots of different things such as making satellites, sending probs into space and etc.
  • Mercury space mission

    On Feb 20, 1962 an Atlas rocket was sucsessfully launched. John Glenn and the hopes of an entire nation of a friendship of 7. It was a mission that they were unsure about, in a new era of space travel that led Americans to walk on the moon at the end of the 1960s.

    Apollo space mission

    The apollo space mission was designed to land humans on the moon and bring them safely back to earth. Only six of those apollo space mission achived this goal (Apollos 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17). The 7 and 9 was a mission to orbit the earth,the 8 and 10 was to orbit the moon and the 13 didn't land on the moon because of malfunction but it brung back photographs.

    The Mars voyager program was listed and planned as a serise for the probes of planet mars. It was acually part of the apollo space mission.
  • Comet

    A comet is an object that is made by nucleus of ice and dust then when it comes near the sun a tail of gas points away from the sun. A comet can also be left over formations from stars and planets from billions of years ago.There are also many different types of comets like the Hally's comet. The Hally's comet or comet Hally's has a short period of comets but is visible from the Earth every 75-76 years. The Hally's comet was discoverd in 1705 and the previous one was in 1986.

    The hubble telescope was named after Edwin Hubble who made some of the most important discoveries in the world in modern day astronomy.

    On November 11 2006 marked on the 40th anniversery of the Gemini XII, it was the final groundbreaking mission beetween the Mercury and Apollo space mission. When Jim Lovell and Buzz Aldrin landed 4 days later, NASA had learend a very valuable lesson about living and working in space from the first few trips to the moon.
