“The Soviet Union first satellite was in the birth of Space Age.” This satellite was launched during the WW2 Era and by the USSR.
Also, this also was not a manned mission.

Explorer 1

“America’s first satellite was in the birth of Space Age.” We quickly responded to the Soviet Union when they launched the Sputnik 1.
Also, this wasnt a manned mission.

Mercury Freedom 7

Apr 18, 1961

The successful mission of the Americans. The mission was about showing a development about an automatic escape system.

Gemini 3

Mar 23, 1965

This was the first manned mission sent from the NASA(the Americans). Also, this was the very first manned mission by Virgil I. Grissom and John W. Young.

Apollo 11

Jul 20, 1969

This was the first manned mission that any man has landed on the moon. Also, this was a manned mission but this mission invovled Neil Armstrong, Edwin(Buzz) Aldrin, and Michael Collins.

Viking 1

This wasnt a manned mission but it was sent outer space to gather information about the Martian climate.

Voyager 1

This equiment of space craft was designed to explore the solar system. This has no records I could find of whether it was a manned mission or not a manned mission.

Columbia Space Shuttle

This was the famous CSS the first launch NASA ever had launch and it was the first manned mission for the space shuttle.This shuttle was the first reusable space craft. The shuttles launched multiple times. The space shuttle was gladly to retired July 21, 2011.

Mars Pathfinder

This space craft was designed to go around Mars and collect information about Mars as a planet. Also, this definitely not a manned mission, no man can leave on Mars yet! But, this was the first succesful rovers to the "Red Planet".

International Space Station (ISS)

This space station is very different from Columbia Space Shuttle in many ways. It is called the "naked eye" because it is the largest space craft in the orbit. This wasnt a manned mission but there were 6 crew members: Koichi Wakata, Richard Mastracchio, Mikhail Tyurin, Aleksandr Skvortsov, Oleg Artemyev, and Steven Swanson.

Spirit and Opportunity

For these two Mars rovers have two different outcomes. Spirit had lost communication in 2010 and Opportunity is still transmitting information 11 years later. Just to think they thought it would last for a couple well Opportunity showed them back at NASA.

Kepler

This was a piece of spacecraft that a magnificent addition since the Renaissance. It was used to discover Earth-like planets to orbit around and look at the stars.

Curiosity

This space craft is different than the other rovers sent to Mars. Curiosity was sent to Mars on a mission to find signs of life to see if humans can once live on Mars.
