  • Sputnik Launch

    The Sputnik was the first artificial satellite ever. It was located in Kazakhstan. It orbited around Earth for 98 minutes
  • Veneral 1 Launch

    Venera probe 1 launched, the purpose was to learn more about the planet Venus.
  • Mercury X Program

    The first Mercury X Program was launched and it was success. It was the first human spaceflight program in U.S.
  • Mariner 1 Launch

    Mariner 1 was launched by the JPL and NASA. It was one of the three mariner spacecrafts that failed.
  • Gemini Program Launch

    There were ten manned flight between 1965 to 1966. Its purpose was to gain experience for the future Apollo Program. John Glenn reached first human orbit. It made the first spacewalk and first docking between two ships.
  • Venera 3 Launch

    Venera Probe 3 launched.

    Venera Probe 7 launched
  • Viking 1 Launch

    The Viking 1 spacecraft launched in Cape Canaveral, Florida to find prrof that there was water on Mars. It also found volcanos on Mars similar to the ones in Hawaii. It stopped working in 1982.
  • Viking 2 Launch

    Viking 2 launched in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The camera took about 26,000 photos of Mars. Both missions were supposed to last 6 monts, not 4-6 years. It stopped working in 1980.
  • Launch Voyager 1

    The Voyager 1 was launched to collect data from other planets. The mission is still going on until now. It was the first space exploration other than Earth and the Moon.
  • Venera 10 Launch

    Venera Probe 10 launched, it was the first one to send back pictures.
  • Space Station MIR

    The MIR space station built by Soviet Union and USA launched and lasted from 1986-1996. It took ten years to build and costed 4.3 billion dollas. Total of twelve nations visited MIR, it was the longest lasting space station.
  • Space Shuttle Challanger

    The total space shuttle mission went through over 30 years of missions, it made 61 landings, cost 5-10 billion dollars, and over 400 lives. The Challanger was destroyed 73 seconds after lift off.
  • Magellan Spacecraft launch

    The Magellan spacecraft was the first and only mission. It took $639 million to build. It was launched and built in the U.S. using spare parts of other missions
  • Galileo Spacecraft Launch

    The Galileo probe was built by NASA, JPL, and Hughes Aircraft Company. It cost 1.6 million dollars. It launchd to see if any forms of life could sustain in an environment similar to but outside of Earth.

    After several delays, the Hubbles Space telescope was finally built after nine years. The scientsts wanted to see what is beyond our solar system, galaxy, and probably the universe

  • Magellan Spacecraft Lost Communication

    The Magellan spacecraft lost commuication after 729 Earth days (3 Venus days). It mapped 98% of Venus' surface. The mission lasted 4 years and 2 months.
  • N.E.A.R launch

    The N.E.A.R launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida to learn more about asteroids.
  • Cassini Equinox Mission launch

    Launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station to investigate the dynamic behavior of the ring of Saturn.
  • Galileo Spacecraft ended main orbit of Jupiter

    The main orbit mission of Jupiter ended and started the Galileo Europa Mission. The mission discovered a satellite and an asteroid.
  • N.E.A.R landed on Eros

    N.E.A.R landed on one of the asteroids called Eros. It took 69 close-up photos and was the first space probe to ever orbit and land on an asteroid

    The Genesis spacecraft was launched in Kennedy Space Center in Florida, it was going to study how our sun has changed by collecting solar dust
  • Genesis Spacecraft Return

    The Genesis Spacecraft returned after 1127 days in space. It discovered that the sun haven't change in billions of years.It lost most of the solar wind due to the crash when return.

    The Cassini Equinox Mission was complete with the discovery of a total of six different moon. It was the farthest place NASA had ever traveled

    The NASA program Curiosity Rover launched, it first started in 2004. It launched in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
