The Wall Street crash was the crash of the Stock Market in 1929. This crash also led to the Great Depression. This crash of the stock market occurred in October of 1929. -

The Great Depression lasted from 1929 to 1939. This era was the worst economic downturn in history of the industrialized world. This era began because of the Stock Market Crash in October. This sent Wall Street into great panic. -

This war began when the Prime Minister of Britain, and Neville Chamberlain declared war on Germany. This war involved many countries around the world. Adolf Hitler and his aggressive foreign policy was also a factor that lead to World War 2. -
Pearl Harbor
Japanese surprise attack U.S. naval base. Thousands of lives were lost in the attack.The U.S. upgraded their radar systems so they could see the enemies approaching. This started a war between the U.S. and Japan. -
Japanese Americans Incarceration
Lots of Japanese Americans were relocated to Concentration Camps in America. These camps were in the Western Interior. Most of the Japanese Americans came from the Pacific Coast. These camps consisted of 110,000 to 120,000 Japanese Americans. -
Operation Overlord
Allied invasion of Normandy. Largest seaborne invasion in history. Over 5,000 vessels were used to penetrate the beaches. The Allied powers took control of many cities in Europe.The Normandy invasion began to turn the tide against the Nazis. -
Bombing Hiroshima
The U.S dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima to force Japan to surrender. The bomb was detonated 2,000 ft. above Hiroshima. The bomb destroyed five square miles of the city. About 150,000 people died in Hiroshima. -

A few days after the U.S dropped a bomb in Hiroshima, they dropped another atomic bomb on Nagasaki forcing Japan to surrender. 67% of the city was destroyed. About 90,000 people died by the bomb. -

The Cold War was a war between the United States and the Soviet Union. Both the United States and the Soviet Union had their own allies. The United States had refused recognition to the USSR. America also went through the Red Scare during this time because of the War. -
Start of Korean War
The Korean War was a fight between North and South Korea. Both sides blamed each other for the start of the war. The North was led by Kim ll-Sung. The USSR and the Republic of China supported North Korea. -
Vietnam war Begins
The US bombed military targets after the DRV attacked two US destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin. The U.S was helping South Vietnam fight against North who was supported by the Soviets. The US did not want Vietnam to fall to communism because they believed if Vietnam fell then other countries would fall to. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
America discovered Soviet ballistic missile deployment in Cuba. Created tension between the U.S. and the Soviet Union. JFK agreed with Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev to remove the missile from Cuba in exchange for the U.S. not to invade Cuba. Communism would've spread if the situation wasn't settled. -
John F Kennedy was assassinated
John F Kennedy is assassinated while traveling through Dallas, Texas. He was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald. John F Kennedy is taken to Dallas Parkland Hospital. He was pronounced dead 30 minutes later in Dallas' Parkland hospital -
