The rum rebellion started on the 26 of January 1808 (30th year that the first ship landed at botany bay) and ended on the 1 of January 1810. The rum rebellion was the only successful takeover of the government. Governor William Bligh was arrested. This started what we now know as the “Rum Rebellion”.
