Sue Brandt founded the CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) Inter-facility committee that met at SHarp Mary Birch Hospital. It was intradisciplinary, intraprofessional, and all Sharp entities were included.

Healing Touch in a closet began at Sharp Memorial Hospital. Nurses offered healing touch to staff members in a storage room; five minutes, in a chair, for stress and anxiety reduction.

Integrative care classes began at Sharp, in the Benbough Room. We shared modalities and concepts with each other, but they were open to staff members. 1 West developed an Integrative Therapy kit and practiced on their unit with Reiki, Aromatherapy and Imagery; all coordinated by Laurel Barile MSW.

Integrative Forum offered by Sharp Memorial at Spectrum for all entities. Sharing of integrative therapies occurred with 75 attendees.

Sharp Memorial is recognized by Planetree for Destinction for Leadership and Innovation Award.
Continuation of Integrative Therapy forums, classes, teaching the new RN's the Planetree and Patient and Family Centered Care concepts. Engaged physicians as possible.
