Divers have been around in every culture, most divers spearfished and hunted for pearls. The first diving apparatus was described by Aristotle in 360BC, a device that was lowered into the water and retained air.

Alexander the Great uses a diving bell during the siege of Tyre to remove blocks underwater, enabling ships to enter the harbour. Previously divers for military use drilled holes in ships or cut the rope of anchors.

First recorded use of Goggles by Peruvian divers.

In the city of Venice, surrounded by water, Divinchi created this suit with the idea of thwarting attacks with underwater divers. The suit was made of leather and had a pouch for urination. A bell floated on the surface and gave the diver air.

Divers are attached to a rope on a ship, a long tube delivers air to them so they can be underwater longer.
