Rehoboam listens to his young and dumb advisors instead of his father's. Instead of lightening up on taxes, he weighs down and gets everyone to hate him.

Jeroboam builds Shechem and golden calves. He does a lot of pagan stuff till a prophet comes corrects him.

Jeroboam dies after 22 years. I don't know why this guy was important at all, but apparently he was.
