Paris confronts Lord Capulet about marrying Juliet,but Capulet says she is too young. He tells Paris to wait two more years and look at other "fine" ladies in the meantime.

Romeo agrees to go to the Capulets party to show Benvolio that no one can compare to Rosaline, the girl that he can never be with. Instead, he sees Juliet from a far and falls madly in love with her. The two meet, kiss, and realize that they have fallen for their enemy.

The Nurse finds Romeo to plan out the marriage to Juliet. Mercution and the boys make fun of her. Rome and the Nurse decide that Juliet will lie and say she is going to Friar Lawrence for "shrift."

The Friar marries them.

Mercutio instigates fight with Tybalt in order to protect Romeo. Tybalt slays Mercuito. Romoe kills Tybalt in a blind rage and then realizes Juliet made him weak (she is his flaw). The prince banishes Romeo from Verona.

The nurse confuses Juliet and makes her think Romeo has died. She eventually tells her that Romeo killed Tybalt. Juliet accepts Romeo's action because he would have been killed. She is distraught over his banishment.

Capulet agrees to let Paris marry Juliet because he thinks it will relieve her of her grief over Tybalts death. Juliet says no. Cap threatens to disown her. The nurse "comforts her."

Juliet seeks the Friars help. he gives her a potion to make her appear dead for 42 hrs. He sends Friar John to Mantua to tell romoe the plan.

Nurse finds julliet "dead" and freaks out. They have a funeral for her.

Balthasar makes it to Romeo and tells him that Juliet is dead. Friar John was quarantined for the plague and never made it to Romeo to tell the plan. Romeo believes Balthasar and rides back to Verona to kill himself and be with her.

Romeo goes to her tomb, kills Paris to get in, kills himself in the tomb. Juliet wakes up from her "slumber." She finds Romeo dead and the Friar comes back. He can't calm her down. Juliet kills herself with her dagger.

The Prince reprimands the Caps and Monts for feuding and blames them for the death of the kids. They fathers shake hands and agree to end the feud and build memorials for Romeo and Juliet.
