    It was an act that created two new territories. It was a very violent uprising also known as the "Bleeding Kansas", and it was proslavery and antislavery.
  • John Brown’s Raid on Harpers Ferry

    John Brown’s Raid on Harpers Ferry
    John Brown and a couple of people left. They captured people and the federal army.

    The election happened before the Civil war. After the election the civil war began between the Union and the Confederate army's.

    People in the south came together and made the Confederate army.
  • The battle of Fort Sumter

    Fort Sumter had a bombardment close to South Carolina. The Confederate army was not around when that happened. Then they returned the gunfire and that lead to the Civil War.

    The Civil War was the Union army and the Confederate army. The Union army was antislavery and was fighting for slaves so they can be free. The Confederate army was proslavery and was trying to make the U.S. a slave country.

    It was the 3rd year of the Civil war and President Lincoln made this saying that people who are slaves will be free.

    The Gettysburg Battle was the turning point in the Civil war. The Confederate and Union army had lots of deaths, missing troops, or wounded troops.

    The Sherman’s March to the Sea was to make the people that lived in Georgia, to abandon the Confederate cause. They did not destroy homes they just took food and other things until they stopped being in the Confederate cause.
