    It was a deadly riot that occurred on King Street in Boston. It began as a street brawl between American colonists and a lone British soldier, but then it quickly escalated to a chaotic, bloody slaughter.
  • Tea Act

    The tea Act granted the company the right to ship its tea directly to the colonies without first landing it in England, and to commission agents who would have the sole right to sell tea in the colonies.

    British people punished Massachusetts colonists for the Boston Tea Part. Boston had to pay back every penny to pay for the tea they destroyed.
  • 1st Continental Congress

    Meeting of delegates from 12 of the 13 British colonies that became the United States. A plan was proposed to create a Union of Great Britain and the Colonies, but the delegates rejected it.
