The Boston Massacre was essentially a street fight that happened in March of 1770, a crowd confronted eight British soldiers in the streets of the city. As the mob insulted and threatened them, the British soldiers fired, this killed five colonists. The Boston Massacre was a signal event leading to the revolutionary war. The colonists felt that the british government was turning on them and not recognizing them as their own.

The Quebec Act enlarged French Quebec to cover the area west and south. In this area to the West was the Mississippi and to the West was the Ohio River. French law won this area of land and the Catholic Church would have a privileged status there. Many American colonists viewed the act as a measure of enforcement. The act was a major cause to the American Revolution.
